The UFC is headed overseas to Singapore in October for a show, and while the main event between Demian Maia and Ben Askren is already set, not much of the rest of the card has trickled out yet. That changed a little bit today with the promotion announcing a bout between two ranked middleweights - Brad Tavares and Ian Heinisch.
Tavares (17-5, 12-5 UFC) hasn’t competed since July 2018, when he had a four-fight win streak stopped by current interim 185-pound champ Israel Adesanya. His only other loss dating back to 2015 came at the hands of the current full champ, Robert Whittaker.
