It looks like former multi-divisional world champion Zab Judah couldn’t wait to get his hands on Hevinson Herrera. So much so, that they brawled at Wednesday’s weigh-in, resulting in Herrera being injured an unable to fight. Their match, which was to be Judah’s first fight in two years, has been scrapped altogether.
Apparently the two welterweights had a heated exchange while waiting for the other fighters on the card to weigh in. According to witnesses, Herrera (18-11-1, 12 KOs) said something to the Brooklynite, even though Herrera doesn’t speak English. Herrera head-butted him when they close too close and Judah countered with a punch to the head.
