Renowned Russian boxing champion Sergey Kovalev is not ready to consider MMA a more popular sport than boxing, but he certainly had no qualms about discussing its improving potential.
According to the WBO, IBF, WBA (Super) and WBC Diamond light heavyweight champion, the reason behind the UFC's recent success is simple: Conor McGregor.
"I don't think that it is more popular but UFC is very popular too because of Conor McGregor," Kovalev said.
