Under a new German anti-doping law, WBA champ Felix Sturm could be looking at up to three years in prison following a positive steroid test.
Germany's new harsh anti-doping measures might lead to a prominent boxing champion heading to prison. Felix Sturm (40-5-3, 1 NC, 18 KO), the current WBA super middleweight champion and former IBF and WBO champ, popped for a PED back in February, and falls under a newly-enacted bill that could see him jailed.
Sturm defended his title against Fedor Chudinov in February, winning a controversial majority decision. But after the bout, he tested positive for stanozolol, an anabolic steroid.
