Heavyweight veteran Bob Sapp will end his retirement from mixed martial arts this summer after nearly three years away from the sport.
Korean promoter Road Fighting Championship on Tuesday announced that Sapp will square off against China’s Aorigele in the main event of Road FC 32. The event takes place July 2 at the 20,000-seat Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hunan, China.
Sapp, 42, walked away from MMA in 2013 following a string of 12 consecutive losses, 11 of which came inside the first round. “The Beast” has remained active in the meantime, competing sporadically in kickboxing and professional wrestling, as well as working as a cage announcer and vice president of public relations for Road FC.
