Back in February, in an interview with Australia’s Sub Radio, rising UFC lightweight star Sage Northcutt shared a harrowing story of action, adventure, and hiding behind things. Apparently, during one of his first trips to Sacramento to train with Team Alpha Male, Northcutt had an unforgettable experience with local wildlife.
While hiking alone near Lake Tahoe, ‘Super’ Sage encountered a wild black bear. Northcutt escaped danger by hiding behind a waterfall, but in his own words, “I felt like I was gonna get eaten.”
Despite the scare, the 22-year-old ended up sticking with TAM as his home base camp, and is currently 2-0 for 2017-18.
