At UFC 101, B.J. Penn battled Kenny Florian to defend his UFC lightweight belt. It was a fight in which Penn successfully defended his belt, defeating Florian via fourth-round rear-naked choke. That fight was also Penn’s second consecutive title defense after winning the vacant title at UFC 80.
Now eight years later, the former lightweight champ is coming out of retirement to face rising prospect Yair Rodriguez in a featherweight bout. This fight is scheduled to headline this Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 103 which is set to take place at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Ariz.
