Jon Jones will not face any probation violation charges on his traffic citation. At least not from the district attorney.
Bernalillo County DA spokesperson Kayla Anderson said Monday that the DA's office will not be filing a formal probation violation against Jones. The issue will be dealt with by the state's department of Probation & Parole, she said.
Jones was cited for three traffic violations Jan. 31: driving without a license, driving without proof of insurance and driving without registration. The former UFC light heavyweight champion is in the fourth month of an 18-month supervised probation period following a September guilty plea on a felony hit-and-run charge.
