As expected, Korean-American Benson Henderson (pictured) will headline the UFC’s debut in Korea. On Sunday, it was announced the former lightweight champion will meet Thiago Alves in a welterweight affair in the November 28 event.
Henderson made a successful debut in the 170-pound division by submitting Brandon Thatch in February to snap his two-fight skid.
Alves, a former welterweight top contender, is looking to bounce back from May’s TKO defeat to Carlos Condit. Due to various injuries, “Pitbull” has only fought four times since 2012.
Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea hosts the festivities.
