UFC lightweight fighter Beneil Dariush picked up his second straight win on Saturday night via submission against Drew Dober. After the fight ended, the two exchanged compliments and expressed how refreshing it was to have mutual respect for each other as opponents, for a change.
During his post-fight media scrum, Dariush was asked if he was willing to take a stand against the current trash-talking era in MMA, which said he would do so “100%.”
“When it comes to competition, when it comes to fighting, I’m as savage as you’re gonna get,” Dariush said. “I’m OK with hitting you, I’m OK with getting hit, I’m OK with cuts, broken leg, broken nose – I’ve broken my nose five, six times – but I don’t need to verbally assault somebody.
