The heavyweight clash between Ben Rothwell and Philipe Lins is back on for UFC’s May 8 event, multiple people with knowledge of the booking told MMA Fighting following a report from MMA Junkie.
Rothwell vs. Lins was originally scheduled for March 13 in Las Vegas, but got cancelled days before the fight due to an injury to Rothwell.
The UFC has yet to officially announce the venue and location for the Fight Night show, which is also without an announced main event.
Rothwell (38-13) was on a two-fight winning streak over Stefan Struve and Ovince Saint Preux prior to a decision loss to Marcin Tybura in his most recent bout in October 2020, dropping his overall UFC record to 8-7.
