Bellator’s Mike Richman Tests Positive for PEDs, Suspended for Two Years

As the combat sports world cracks down on drug use more intensely than ever, two Bellator fighters have been caught for drugs in relation to their Bellator 137 bouts on May 15 in Temecula, Calif.

Mike Richman tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance, according to a statement from Bellator MMA to MMAWeekly.com. An initial report by Sherdog.com identified the PED as the anabolic steroid drostanolone. Fellow Bellator 137 fighter Fernando Gonzalez tested positive for marijuana.

“Andy Foster of the California State Athletic Commission has notified us of two positive tests following Bellator 137, Mike Richman for PED’s and Fernando Gonzalez for Marijuana,” read Bellator’s statement to MMAWeekly.
