Bellator signs Darrion Caldwell to multi-year contract extension

Bellator 154 "Davis vs. King Mo" took place back on May 14, 2016 at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The show featured "Mr. Wonderful" Phil Davis vs. Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal and several surprising announcements.

Bellator stripped heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov and released lightweight champion Will Brooks during the broadcast, so it's hard to take the timing of this latest announcement as entirely unrelated.

"The Wolf" Darrion Caldwell, undefeated at 9-0 including a recent first round submission of Joe Warren, was touted as having signed a multi-year multi-fight contract to keep the bantamweight in Bellator.
