Fabio Aguiar is the newest addition to the Bellator middleweight division, sources told MMA Fighting.
Aguiar (17-1) is currently riding a nine-right winning streak with seven finishes, including a third-round stoppage over TUF Brazil 3 finalist Marcio Alexandre Jr. in 2017. Aguiar, a black belt in jiu-jitsu, is expected to make his Bellator debut later this year.
The Brazilian middleweight was scheduled to be part of the Brazilian version of Dana White’s Contender Series last August in Las Vegas, but his 185-pound fight with Diego Henrique was one of the many fights cancelled due to visa issues.
