Just two bouts into her professional MMA career, Valerie Loureda has already garnered some crossover appeal.
The Bellator flyweight prospect announced Wednesday that she will be competing on the reality show “Exatlon Estados Unidos.” The program premieres Aug. 19 on Telemundo and pits well-known figures against normal people in athletic competitions. MMA fighters Yoel Romero and Jorge Masvidal have previously competed on the show.
“This is going to be a life-changing journey for me,” Loureda wrote on Twitter. “I will be disconnected from any contact from the outside world for a few weeks to months.
