During a pre-fight press conference for Bellator 208 on Saturday in New York, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker talked about his passion for the sport, as a fan and as a martial artist. In the past, he has put together mixed kickboxing and MMA events, and partnering with DAZN has only fueled his desire to bring the best fights to fans.
Coker reiterated plans to bring Bellator to Japan and revealed his willingness to consider champion-versus-champion superfights with Rizin Fighting Federation. Moreover, he made specific mention of his desire to see Bellator bantamweight champion Darrion Caldwell face Rizin bantamweight titleholder Kyoji Horiguchi.
