Bellator MMA will be hosting arguably the biggest show in company history in a few hours, but that didn’t stop the UFC’s biggest rival from announcing a blockbuster show on September 19.
During Friday’s conference call, Bellator president Scott Coker revealed they will hold a three-tier event inside SAP Center in San Jose, California entitled “Dynamite.” The extravaganza will feature Glory Kickboxing matches and MMA bouts, including a one-night, four-man light heavyweight tournament.
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz will challenge Bellator champ Liam McGeary for his belt. The four-man tourney features Emanuel Newton, the man McGeary took the title from in February, Phil Davis, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal and Linton Vassell.
