Look out featherweights: There’s a new Magomedsharipov to worry about.
Khasan Magomedsharipov, the 20-year-old younger brother of UFC contender Zabit Magomedsharipov, scored a dominant win Saturday night in his Bellator debut. Magomedsharipov, who like his brother is a slim but towering featherweight, demolished Jonathan Quiroz with a flurry of strikes at 4:21 of Round 2 in a one-sided fight on the preliminary card of Bellator 263.
An undefeated Dagestani who stands 5-foot-11 tall, Magomedsharipov (6-0) controlled the action both on the feet and on the ground, picking Quiroz (3-5) apart with a variety of kicks and rangy punches before taking the fight to the floor in both rounds.
