It seemed as if Aaron Pico was in control of his fight with Adam Borics at Bellator 222. In his first fight since changing his fight camp over to Jackson-Wink, Pico used his decorated wrestling background to score multiple takedowns and keep the striking exchanges with the Hungarian to a minimum.
Unfortunately for Pico, “minimum” wasn’t enough, as the dangerous Borics once again made an opponent crumble with a flying knee. Pico shot in for a takedown and was kneed right in the face, sending him down and badly hurt. Borics then followed up with strikes to the head to secure the second-round KO victory.
