Bellator MMA’s women flyweight title will be on the line Friday when champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane faces Colombia’s Alejandra Lara in the Bellator 201 main event in Temecula, California.
Macfarlane won the inaugural flyweight title in Bellator 186 on 2017, after defeating Emily Ducote via armbar in the fifth round. The Hawaiian champion tipped the scales today at 125 pounds and will look forward to her title defense. Across the cage will be Lara (124.6), who will compete for Bellator gold for the first time after having impressive performances on all her 8 professional bouts.
