Ryan Bader, Muhammed Lawal and Cheick Kongo each pocketed $150,000 for their work at Bellator 199 this past Saturday night.
The California State Athletic Commission released salary figures from the event to MMAFighting.com on Wednesday. Bader knocked out “King Mo” in 15 seconds in the evening’s main event at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., to advance to the semifinals of the Bellator heavyweight grand prix. Bader will square off against Matt Mitrione at a date to be determined.
Meanwhile, Kongo earned six figures for a relatively short night as well, knocked out Javy Ayala ($30,000) 2:29 into the opening stanza of their featured heavyweight tilt.
