Bellator 192 medical suspensions: Rory MacDonald potentially out six months

The new Bellator welterweight champion sustained a gruesome leg injury in his fight with Douglas Lima in the co-main event of Bellator 192 on Saturday night in Inglewood, Calif. And he’ll be medically suspended 180 days unless a doctor clears him due to the bad leg, per a document obtained by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC).

CSAC doctors determined that MacDonald might have broken his right hand and right lower leg. MacDonald can return before that if cleared by a physician, but he also was hit with a 45-day no contest (30-day no contact) mandatory suspension from the commission for medical reasons.
