It was a night of big upsets and quick finishes at Bellator 190, headlined by Rafael Carvalho defending his middleweight title in dominant fashion, knocking out Alessio Sakara in just 40 seconds at the Nelson Mandela Forum in Firenze, Italy,
Carvalho is currently the longest reigning Bellator champion and, never one to back down from a challenge, came into hostile territory to face Sakara for his third consecutive title defense. But whatever hometown advantage the Italian-born fighter may have had never came into play as a right hand punch stunned “Legionarius” before Carvalho finished the job with a devastating elbow against the cage that shut the lights out for good.
