Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler and former UFC titleholder Benson Henderson highlighted a lengthy list of 10 fighters to receive extended medical suspensions in the aftermath of Bellator 165. The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) released the event's medical suspension list to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
Chandler and Henderson engaged in a grueling war or attrition in Bellator 165's main event, which ended with Chandler defending his lightweight title on the back of a narrow split decision victory over Henderson. Both men will now be required to sit out for upwards of 180 days, pending physician clearance, with Chandler sidelined due to a potential right fibular fracture and Henderson out due to a potential right ankle fracture.
