They say everything is bigger in Texas, so the Bellator brand of MMA brought out the big boys for the Bellator 161 main event. Cheick Kongo went three rounds with Tony Johnson to close the show but not before the former Bellator bantamweight champion took on Sirwan Kakai.

Striking took a backseat as both Johnson and Kongo looked to take the other down for the bulk of the fight. Kongo scored a late takedown in the first round and sliced straight to full mount to land some elbows before time expired.
