On Tuesday, Bellator reported Friday’s “Bellator 149: Shamrock vs. Gracie” event, where Ferguson served as the co-main event against Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris, set a company record on Spike TV with 2 million viewers for the entire three-hour (9:00-12:04am ET/PT) fight card.
The event peaked at 2.5 million viewers (11:16pm-11:30pm) to watch the slow-motion slugfest between Ferguson and Harris.
Ferguson had set Spike TV’s live event number in his last outing with 1.6 million (peaking at 2.4 million) by blasting Ken Shamrock in June.
While Kimbo vs. Dada 5000 was able to capture a record-setting audience for Bellator, the fight itself was far from captivating.
