Brandon Halsey got the weight cut right this time.
Halsey checked in at 185 pounds, as he prepares to face Rafael Carvalho (184) for the vacant Bellator MMA middleweight championship in the Bellator 144 main event on Friday at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Welterweight co-headliners Brennan Ward (170.75) and Dennis Olson (170.5) also met their contracted weight requirements before being physically separated at Thursday’s official weigh-in.
Bellator 144 -- which airs live on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT -- will also feature a featherweight clash pairing Goiti Yamauchi (145.
