Melvin Guillard is set to make his Bellator debut, and now, that debut is officially on, as Guillard makes weight for the first time in 3 fights.
Tonight, UFC and WSOF veteran Melvin Guillard makes his Bellator debut, and now, he's successfully cleared the first hurdle to a successful debut: making weight.
At last night's weigh-in, Guillard came in at 155.4 pounds, not quite inside the Lightweight limit of 155, but still within the additional one pound allottment. Opponent Brandon Girtz weighed in at 155.8.
This is notable as it is the first time Guillard has actually made weight since his last UFC fight in March 2014, a decision loss to Michael Johnson.
