Cheick Kongo scored a unanimous decision over Alexander Volkov in the main event of Bellator 139 in Mulvane, Kan. on Friday night.
Kongo threw a plethora of strikes, mostly on the ground, on his way to a unanimous decision with scores of 30-27 across the board.

The former UFC heavyweight began to outstrike Volkov early and pushed to bring the fight to the ground, but his opponent remained stubborn and on the feet. Finally, midway through the opening round, Kongo scored the takedown and used ground-and-pound with elbows and punches.
