Brandon Halsey missed weight Thursday at the Bellator 137 weigh-ins, and has been slapped with the stiffest of penalties.
Bellator MMA officials confirmed with Sherdog.com content partners ESPN that win, lose or draw Friday against Kendall Grove, Halsey will not retain his middleweight championship after registering a weight of 188.1. Should Grove (184.9) taste victory, he will claim the title. If the former champion succeeds, the crown will become vacant.
