Arjan Bhullar will be fighting for a belt in his second ONE Championship bout.
The UFC veteran has agreed to challenge Brandon Vera for the heavyweight gold at ONE Championship: Code of Honor in Manila, Philippines, on May 29, sources told MMA Fighting following a report by Asian MMA.
Bhullar (10-1) parted ways with the UFC after back-to-back wins over Marcelo Golm and Juan Adams, and scored a decision victory over former Cage Warriors heavyweight champion Mauro Cerilli in his ONE debut in October.
Vera (16-8, 1 NC), who stopped Cerilli the last time he defended his heavyweight title in 2018, returns to the division after coming up short in his attempt to become a two-division titleholder against Aung La Nsang.
