Two major heavyweight titles are is on the line at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Approximately 80,000 fans will be on hand to see WBA-IBF champion and British superstar Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) take on short-notice replacement Carlos Takam (35-3-1, 27 KOs). This was supposed to be Joshua against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev, but Pulev withdrew due to injury two weeks ago, leaving Takam as next in line on the IBF rankings. Supposedly he’s been training and staying in shape in case something happened to Pulev, and sure enough he’s been pressed into action. Joshua is a humongous favorite, as Takam has never quite reached the level of an elite contender, and his fans are expecting another sensational finish.
