Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Anthony Johnson has slammed Paulo Costa following his loss to Israel Adesanya at UFC 253, with ‘Rumble’ accusing ‘Borrachinha’ of sour grapes in defeat.
Costa was upset with Adesanya’s X-rated post-fight celebration and demanded an immediate rematch but, given the result (second-round TKO loss), Johnson thinks ‘The Eraser’ — or ‘loose booty’ — should have kept his mouth shut.
“I don’t understand all of a sudden either why Costa is getting so upset after he saw what ‘Stylebender’ did to him, you know?” Johnson said in a recent interview with retired UFC middleweight Mike Swick, (h/t BJPenn.
