Despite holding the ONE Championship 115-pound title and recently suffering her first career loss after moving up a division, Lee will again compete at 125 pounds when she fights Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Michelle Nicolini at ONE Championship: Masters of Destiny on July 12 in Kuala Lumpur, officials announced Friday.
Lee is coming off a fifth-round TKO loss to ONE 125-pound champion Xiong Jingnan in March, a result that dropped Lee’s pro record to 9-1. The 22-year-old Canadian of Chinese and Korean descent had recorded three consecutive successful defenses of her 115-pound title before that setback.
Nicolini (5-2) has competed for ONE four times, winning her first three bouts by first-round submission.
