Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre was the superfight to make, back in the day.
Silva and St-Pierre were once considered the two best pound-for-pound fighters in the world but, despite repeated calls for a catchweight bout during their primes, the dream matchup never came to fruition.
The reason for this, according to former middleweight champ Silva, is because St-Pierre never wanted to take risks.
Speaking to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto in a recent interview, ‘The Spider’ accused GSP of running from big fights.
“That’s an interesting fight, but Georges has never come to accept the challenge,” Silva said.
