Amanda Nunes’ featherweight title defense fight with Megan Anderson has been rescheduled for UFC 259 on March 6th.
MMA Fighting confirmed the re-booking of the fight on Monday. The pair were originally supposed to meet at UFC 256 earlier this month, but the two-weight champion Nunes was forced to pull out of the fight citing health issues.
Nunes (20-4) will aim to make the second defense of her 145-pound title against Anderson. A decision win over Felicia Spencer saw “The Lioness” defend her title for the first time since winning it against Cris Cyborg in December 2018.
