Brazilian news site Combate reported that reigning UFC Women’s Featherweight and former Bantamweight champion, Amanda Nunes decided to leave American Top Team, which has been her gym for the past seven years.
‘The Lioness’, 33, ended her relationship with one of the most renowned gyms after losing her bantamweight championship belt to Julianna Pena at UFC 269. The loss came as a big upset as Nunes not only taped out to rear naked choke but also was her first defeat since UFC 178 in September 2014, when she lost by a TKO to Cat Zingano.
