Amanda Nunes: I will retire Ronda Rousey at UFC 207

As Amanda Nunes gears up for her first-ever title defense at this weekend’s (Fri., Dec. 30, 2016) UFC 207 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, Nevada, she’s not lost on the fact that facing Ronda Rousey will be far from an easy task.

That’s because "Rowdy" -- a former Olympic bronze medal winner in Judo — ruled the women’s 135-pound division with an iron fist, decimating her opponents rather quickly thanks to her world-class submission skills and ever-evolving striking game.

After coughing up her title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 (see it), Ronda went on an extended hiatus, leaving the mixed martial arts (MMA) spotlight, paving the way for the title to change hands twice.
