Fabricio Werdum might be fighting Derrick Lewis this Saturday, but the former UFC heavyweight champion almost came to blows with lightweight standout Tony Ferguson at a media luncheon last Thursday.
Werdum, who last fought at UFC 213 where he lost a decision to Alistair Overeem, started talking over Ferguson to the media and eventually had to be separated from ‘El Cucuy’ and removed from the stage.
Werdum’s manager, Ali Abdel-Aziz, told Ariel Helwani on a recent edition of The MMA Hour that, on any other day, the Brazilian would have snapped and folded the much smaller Ferguson like a deck chair.
