Even after two months since the finalization of the heavyweight super-fight between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier, Alexander Gustafsson admitted that he was still “a bit frustrated and disappointed” about it. But now, it seems like he is looking to finally move forward.
In a recent interview with ESPN, the former light heavyweight title contender is now going after an interim title fight against whomever the UFC would put in front of him, and it is the only opportunity he is seeking.
”Me fighting D.C. [Cormier] for the real title, that opportunity went out the window,” said Gustafsson.
