All signs continue to point toward a short-lived retirement for Alexander Gustafsson.
The 32-year-old Swede laid his gloves down in the Octagon following a four-round submission loss to Anthony Smith in the UFC Fight Night 153 headliner on June 1, and in a post-fight interview admitted that “It feels like I don’t have it in me anymore.”
Retirements in MMA don’t always stick, and Gustafsson already seems restless in just a few months away from active competition. Earlier this summer, “The Mauler” claimed that he was "far from a retired fighter.
