It has been announced that Alex Caceres will replace B.J. Penn to take on Cole Miller in a featherweight bout at UFC 199. The UFC confirmed the news after FOX Sports initially reported the matchup on Wednesday.
Penn, who recently announced his return to the Octagon after almost two years away from the sport, was pulled from the pay-per-view after he admitted to using an IV to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). The former two-division world champion claims he had no idea that IV use was banned all-year round.
Caceres, otherwise known as Bruce Leeroy, broke his three-fight bantamweight losing skid with a return to the 145-pound division at UFC on FOX 18.
