Alex Caceres will step in for B.J. Penn and face Cole Miller at UFC 199, the promotion announced on Wednesday evening.
Penn was removed from the June 4 event due to an anti-doping policy violation, as he admitted to using an IV in excess of 50 mL in a six-hour period, a method which is prohibited both in- and out-of-competition. Penn was originally scheduled to face Dennis Siver at UFC 199, but Miller replaced Siver when the German fighter suffered an injury.
Caceres recently halted a three-bout skid at UFC on Fox 18, capturing a unanimous decision triumph over Masio Fullen on Jan.
