Alex Caceres has had an interesting UFC Vegas 8 fight week to say the very least.
After losing his originally scheduled opponent Giga Chikadze, Caceres was set to take on promotional newcomer Kevin Croom at this Saturday night’s event. ESPN’s Marc Raimondi first reported that Croom would not be competing after all for undisclosed reasons and that the UFC was still trying to lock down a replacement.
On Wednesday, they found one in former Contender Series alum Austin Springer, multiple sources confirmed to MMA Fighting.
Springer, who also confirmed the booking via social media early Thursday morning, enters his octagon debut on a three-fight winning streak.
