The 28-year-old Austrian announced Tuesday via social media that he has signed a new six-fight deal with the UFC.
According to Rakic, this is the third contract he has signed with the promotion.
The contract comes on the heels of Rakic’s first UFC loss, a split decision against one-time light heavyweight title contender Volkan Oezdemir at UFC Busan in December. Rakic (12-2) debuted with the promotion in September 2017 and rattled off four consecutive wins over Francimar Barroso, Justin Ledet, Devin Clark, and Jimi Manuwa, the last two by first-round KO/TKO.
