Tilek Batyrov could benefit from Andrew Leone’s misfortune.
The 24-year-old Kyrgyzstan export will meet Andriano Moraes for the interim flyweight title in the One Championship 45 headliner on Saturday at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China. Batyrov will serve as a short-notice replacement for Leone, who withdrew from the event after injuring himself in training. One Championship officials on Monday made the switch official.
The former undisputed champion at 125 pounds, Constrictor Team’s Moraes has recorded five wins across his past six appearances, losing only to Kairat Akhemtov -- a 23-0 Kazakhstani who took his 125-pound title with a five-round unanimous decision in November.
