Bloody Elbow recaps the results from ADCC 2015 from last weekend in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Here, we look at the 88KG division which saw Yuri Simoes defeating Keenan Cornelius.
Last weekend, Yuri Simoes rebounded from a tough loss at FIVE Grappling to win the ultimate prize in submission grappling. Coming into ADCC, Simoes wasn't seen as a frontrunner but he exceeded all expectations with some solid performances. While Yuri Simoes' performances in Sao Paulo were not the most exciting , they were incredibly effective. Simoes played it safe to take home gold.
With both Yuri Simoes and Keenan Cornelius both performing well throughout, this was a pretty solid division throughout.
