Adam Hunter suspended two years by USADA after popping for five banned substances

Middleweight Adam Hunter never had the chance to debut at UFC on FOX 21 this past August after getting flagged by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for a potential violation just 24 hours before the event. He's been awaiting a verdict regarding a possible suspension ever since.

Unforuntately for Hunter, who tested posititve for five banned substances during an out-of-competition test dating back to Aug. 11, USADA has flexed its muscles, suspending the 33-year-old for two years. USADA officials released the following statement earlier today (Fri., Oct. 28, 2016):

Hunter, 32, tested positive for tamoxifen metabolite, boldenone metabolites, methandienone metabolites, drostanolone metabolite, and clenbuterol following an out-of-competition urine test ordered by USADA and conducted by one of its partner national anti-doping organizations, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, on August 11, 2016.
