The UFC has made another exciting addition to the bantamweight division with the signing of Russian prospect Petr Yan.
MMA Fighting confirmed the four-fight deal with Yan’s management Tuesday after Sayat MMA reported his signing on Twitter.
Although Yan’s debut has yet to be scheduled, “No Mercy” is hoping to make his promotional debut in May.
Yan (8-1-0) is currently on a three-fight win streak and is coming off his third-round uppercut knockout of previously undefeated Brazilian, Matheus Mattos, in their ACB bantamweight title showdown.
Earlier in the year, Yan avenged the only loss of his professional career with a five-round decision win over fellow Russian standout, Magomed Magomedov, to claim the title at ACB 57.
