Darren Till’s weight cut for UFC Fight Night 130 was so extreme that the Liverpudlian lost his vision towards the end of the cut (you can watch that video here), and there have been calls for his cornermen to be suspended for pushing the 25-year-old past his physical limits.
The president of the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC), Mike Mazzulli, was ‘appalled’ by the behavior of Till’s coaches during his weight cut and said they could end up getting him ‘killed’ in the future.
“I was appalled seeing seven people sit there and push this kid to the point where he lost his vision,” Mazzulli told Steven Marrocco of MMA Junkie in a recent interview.
